Laura McGill is such a nerd. As a kid she wore thick glasses and carried thicker paperbacks.

Growing up in the Air Force, she moved from one small town to another asking strangers “Whatcha reading?”

Despite every stereotype about nerds with glasses, she made lots of friends that way. She discovered that everyone is some kind of nerd with a passion for some kind of story.

Laura grew up and learned the rules of writing. She followed them faithfully and completed several novels this way. She placed in contests, published short stories, founded critique groups, and simply kept typing.

After a decade of typing, she learned that there’s only one rule: connect with the reader. She wants to read your work with delight, astonishment, dread, any strong emotion. She wants to discover what kind of nerd you are and help you tell the world.
